Between 2000 and 2006, he shaped the Viennese underground scene under the name Martins696 and performed nationwide alongside renowned DJs such as Peter Pan, Richard Steinschlag, and JpExpert, among many others. As a pioneer of digital mixing, he adopted a four-deck setup early on to seamlessly blend tracks and loops he designed entirely himself, creating an uncompromising and driving sound.

Following a technological upgrade to Cubase Pro in 2006, he relaunched as Sunshine696 in 2014. With a hybrid setup featuring Denon and NI Traktor controllers, he returned to present his home-studio-produced sounds—a multifaceted blend of techno, trance, deep, and tech house—live. Since 2023, he has been working on his distinctive, powerful sound using a modern Pioneer setup and Cubase 14 Pro.
